 Riverwalk Student Accommodation – Academic Year 2011/12

Rental Period: Monday 1st September 2011 until Monday 25th May 2012

Rent: Rent can only be paid as one lump sum payment, as two instalments, or in nine monthly payments (monthly payments by Standing Order ONLY). Details of these rental payment amounts can be seen in the table below:

The costs of staying for one semester only are as follows:

1^st Semester (1^st Sept 2011- 3^rd Jan 2012) €1425

2^nd Semester (3^rd Jan 2012 – 25^th May 2012) €1575

Please note that those staying for one semester only must pay in full.

Methods of Payment:

• Payment is by Cash, Bankers Draft, Postal Order or Credit Card ONLY. Please note that a 2.5% charge applies on credit card transactions.

Deposit:

• There is a €350 deposit payable when you are making your reservation. This is a security deposit, in case of breakages and other charges which may be incurred during the course of the academic year.

• This deposit secures your booking until the 1st September, at which stage you must pay your first rental payment and your service charge.

• This deposit will only be refunded at the end of the rental period, minus any outstanding charges. Refunds will be made by cheque, and will be posted to your home address within 30 days of departure.

Service Charge:

There is a non-refundable service charge of €100 per student
There is a nominal charge of €5 included in the service charge for the rent of a T.V.

Cancellation Policy:

• If you move out of the accommodation during the occupancy period, you will forfeit your deposit and rental paid.

• ·If first years do not get their place in W.I.T. we will refund all monies paid, provided you cancel your booking within three days of the CAO first round offers. Refunds will be made by cheque, and will be posted to your home address within 30 days of cancellation.

• All cancellations must be confirmed in writing to: Accommodation Office, Riverwalk, Inner Ring Road , Waterford City.

Acceptance of Offers:

A lease agreement will be issued to all students with confirmation of their room booking. This agreement must be signed by both the student and their guarantor, and returned with the first rental payment before Monday 1^st September 2011.

General Information:

Apartments are fully furnished and kitchens fully equipped. Students must provide their own bed linen, duvet, pillows etc. There is a television in the kitchen/living room. There is an internet connection point in each bedroom (two in twin bedrooms). Electricity is billed separately on a monthly basis.

Television:

There is a television in the kitchen/living room. A valid T.V. licence is required by law for every apartment at which a TV set is held. It is the responsibility of the tenants to purchase a T.V. licence for their apartment. If you do not wish to purchase a T.V. licence we will remove the T.V. at your request.
